Collision Research has experience with both road vehicles and off road vehicles. We use a team approach in our forensic investigations. This typically may include accident reconstructionists, biomechanical engineers, restraint system engineers, and highway design engineers. We are partnered with other expert consultants, who are the leaders in their field.

We utilize the best methods available to reconstruct the various accidents. Sometimes that means using advanced computer programs to help analyze parameters that were necessary for the accident to occur. We will frequently look at the crash data recorder and analyze the information it has stored. At other times it necessitates the use of exemplar vehicles and models to simulate the accident scene.

No matter what avenue is used the most important aspect is the level of experience we have in performing the actual accident reconstruction. It isn't just knowledge from a textbook; it comes from thousands of hours on the road and at the scene.

The biomechanical engineers will analyze and determine the occupant kinematics. With their analysis it is possible to determine if injuries claimed are consistent with the vehicle dynamics. This is essential to both substantiate plaintiff cases and to refute claims that may be less than truthful.
