Richard "Dick" Hermance July 28, 1954 - March 9, 2025
Tillson - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Hermance, affectionately known as Dick, who left this world peacefully at home on March 9, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Kingston on June 28, 1954, Dick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose legacy will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Dick is now reunited with his beloved daughter, Heather Hermance, who passed away on October 30, 2008.
Collision Research provides consulting services in the area of forensic accident reconstruction. We handle cases involving passenger cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, pedestrians, seat belts, occupant kinematics, light rail, ATV's, UTV's, Side by Sides, and Snowmobiles. We also download crash data recorders and provide analysis of same. For court, in addition to expert testimony, we provide custom made PowerPoint presentations, large foamboard mounted exhibits, graphic animation, modeling, and video presentation utilizing our own system operators. We also can set up the court room with monitors for Judge, jury, and counsel tables. We utilize all common video conferencing and upload services.

He was the son of the late Samuel W. and Carol Orlando Hermance of Tillson. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kim, and their two daughters, Jennifer Marie VanLeuven (and son-in-law Allen) and Christina Hermance, all of Tillson. He was a proud grandfather to two grandsons, Jaxon Samuel VanLeuven and Liam Miller, who brought him immeasurable joy and love. He is also survived by his brother Frank Hermance of Berwyn, PA, and his wife Cheri, a nephew David Hermance of PA, and many aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
Close to Dick's heart was his trusted second in command, Mary. She not only played a crucial role in bringing his business vision to life but also contributed significantly to its ongoing growth.
